What is your background?

 

I'm a chartered accountant with 18 years experience in the practice industry. My previous employers include Ernst & Young and Kelly Murray Scollard (now part of Farrell Grant Sparks).

 

What are your main responsibilities?

 

I deal with the compliance aspects of the practice and developing the business to expand into new territories, such as debtor's ledger management.

 

What are you passionate about?

 

I get a lot of satisfaction from helping SMEs turn their businesses into profitable enterprises.

What does your job involve?

 

I ensure that our clients are compliant on both a personal and company level with regard to tax and company legislation. Also, as a founding partner, my job involves liaising regularly with our clients in relation to the challenges they face in business. This can involve securing finance for their business, implementing new and improved systems and procedures, or even helping and advising in the recruitment of additional staff.

My job can be summed up as running my own business whilst helping our clients run theirs.

 

What is your background?

 

I worked as a trainee accountant in industry but I decided that I would prefer to work with a number of clients rather than just for one company, so I transferred to practice.

I find that my wide experience in industry prior to going into practice gives me an added insight into the challenges that businesses face.

 

 

What are your main responsibilities?

 

I frequently liaise with our clients to ensure that all of their requests and issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

I also meet regularly with representatives from financial institutions, the Revenue Commissioners, and the legal profession on behalf of our clients. It is also my responsibility to ensure that the team at DCA is constantly striving for customer service excellence.
